The Theresian Wing, Prague Castle
In the second exhibition, The Children’s House will focus on famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. The aim of the project is to build on the tradition of good international relations between the Czech and Slovenian Republics, as this architect has indelibly shaped the current form of Prague Castle and other monuments in the Czech Republic and of course Slovenia. The task of the children will be to process this heritage with their energetic point of view and to contribute to an architectural discussion.
From this dialogue, an exhibition of selected works will be created again, which will be tied to other events that the Prague Castle Administration is preparing as part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jože Plečnik, which will include a major exhibition of this urban planner in Prague Castle and the town of Lány. This event follows up on our successful Plečnik exhibition presented in the architect’s hometown, Ljubljana.
