Playful Architect will present for the first time in a country of fascinating Aztec and Mayan culture. MEXICO CITY – exhibition of 100 years of playful architecture

EXHIBICIÓN 100 AÑOS DE ARQUITECTURA, JUGANDO

MUSEO DE HISTORY NATURAL DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO

For the first time in the history of Playful Architect, we come to Central America. From July 3 to August 31, 2019, an international exhibition of children’s pictures by Playful Architect takes place in Mexico.

Mexico first joined this art-architectural project for primary school children back in 2015. The response was excellent. Since then, Mexican schools have been regularly involved in all of our years to introduce their country’s remarkable architecture. We have had the pleasure of working with the Collegium Hebreo Sepharadi, Bet Hayladi, Baden Powell School, or Liceo Franco Mexicano. All these schools are located directly in their historic capital. We were pleased to prepare a selection of the most beautiful pictures of Mexican schoolchildren who presented their architecture at our thematic exhibitions “Monuments of My Region” (2015), “Architecture in the Time of Charles IV” (2016), “Baroque through the Eyes of Children” (2017) and “100 Years of Playful Architecture ”(2018). Of course, there will also be works that were part of last year’s exhibition organized on the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Czechoslovak Republic. The borrowed works of children left Prague to Mexico. The exhibition at the Museo de Historia Natural will last two full holiday months. And just now, the final preparations before the opening ceremony are underway, thanks to cooperation with the Natural History Museum in Mexico City and the Arditti + RDT Architects and Serrano Monjaraz Architects studios. Photos from the preparations have just sent us our collaborator – playful architect Daniel Perogordo.
