On the occasion of the reopening of The Children’s House at Prague Castle, which continues its tradition after almost 30 years, we decided to create a project with the idea of the historical Czechoslovak coexistence under one state, through the international artistic-architectural project Playful Architect. In the project, which aims to develop children’s awareness of architecture, culture and history in an entertaining way, children from the 4th and 5th grades of primary schools from Slovakia and the Czech Republic will participate on artistic workshops with the topic of Czechoslovak heritage from 1992 until today, according to their own vision.
A selection of the best works will become the exhibition, which will be the first one presented in the brand new premises of The Children’s House at Prague Castle. This first project will emphasize the close relations between our two countries and lay the foundations for future collaborations thanks to the participation of Slovakian and Czech children.
My Czechoslovak Heritage 2021 is the first exhibition of a long-term program focused on the architectural heritage of individual states.
